You Are a Dangerous Person

The Son of God is dangerous.

You are dangerous.

“Why?”, you might ask.

The Scriptures answer that question.

Jesus Christ went about doing good, healing all who were oppressed by the devil (see Acts 10;38).

“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” - 1 John 3:8 NKJV

“Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.” - Hebrews 2:14 NLT

Yes, the Son of God was dangerous to Satan and his dominion.

God’s original intention for mankind was not to be controlled and dominated by satan and sin, sickness and disease. It was not to live life feeling distant and disconnected from God.

His original design was for mankind to live a life of self-control, empowered to walk in a love union with God. “God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.” God never intended mankind to be a slave to sin, a slave of the devil, or even a slave of God. Instead, God created mankind to govern the planet as children of God, not slaves. He conceived and gave birth to children who would know the love of their Father and experience the joy and peace of life lived in harmony with God.

Oh the horror, the tragedy and ugliness of mankind’s fall from God’s grace and how far reaching its consequences.

But much more powerful, beautiful and far reaching is the love of God and the redemption for mankind that comes through the Savior of the World, Jesus Christ!

He has now sent Holy Spirit to live in, and to live through, each born again child of God. He has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and placed us in His Kingdom.

The apostle Paul wrote, “ For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,” - Colossians 1:13 NLT

You are now a dangerous person.

You are dangerous to sin, for sin shall not have dominion over you.

You are dangerous to sickness, for you shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.

You are dangerous to depression, for God clothes you with a garment of praise and anoints you with the oil of joy.

You are dangerous to fear, for God has given you a spirit of power, love and a sound mind.

You are dangerous to darkness, for you are now the light of the world.

You are dangerous to hate, for the love of God has been shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit.

You are dangerous to divisiveness, for God has made us all one body with one Lord.

You are dangerous to death, for death has lost its sting and you have received the life of God.

You are dangerous to the devil, for you resist him and he flees from you.

You are a dangerous person.

Scripture tells a story of a demonic spirit who attacked and overpowered some jews, who were very religious, but who had not received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior: The evil spirit said to them: “I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?” (See Acts 19:16).

Who are you?

You are a dangerous person, that’s who you are.

Your enemy the devil, the giants of opposition that are coming out to fight and intimidate you, the storms that are raging and threatening to sink your ship are asking you this same question. You must answer that question with authority and with confidence.

You are a born again child of God, a new creation in Christ Jesus, a partaker of God’s divine nature. You are seated with Him in heavenly places far above all evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, all spiritual powers in this dark world, and all evil spirits in the heavenly places.

You have been “given authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you.” - Luke 10:19

You are a dangerous person.

It’s time to live like it!
