The gathering began during a conference after Jennie Allen invited around 2,300 students to publicly confess their struggles. For 15 minutes, students openly shared battles with fear, anger, pornography, insecurity, and other burdens. Campus pastor Jonathan Rivera said the moment brought ‘freedom,’ not shame, adding, ‘Something shifted in the room immediately.’
Worship has continued day and night since Wednesday evening, with students leading prayer, Scripture reading, and testimonies. Many have remained overnight inside the chapel, and university leaders say there is currently no timeline for when the gathering will conclude
